Overview

According to Corriere della Sera, the contract has been finalized. Signatures are still missing, but Populous will be the studio in charge of designing the future San Siro stadium. The "Cathedral", therefore, and not the "Rings" of Manica, designed by Cmr and Sportium, with the Milanese studio One Works (whose curriculum has the square under the three Citylife towers) to take care of the commercial spaces and Mca architects by Mario Cucinella chosen for the part of the "green" offices (with the Bolognese architect increasingly active in the city, from the Unipol Tower to the Bisceglie real estate complex, up to the new headquarters just inaugurated in the presence of the mayor).

The article by Giacomo Valtolina reports that the plan would provide for the preservation of the old Meazza (the «orange» grandstand plus a curve with a tower), a park of 106 thousand square meters and volumes of 0.51 meters. However, once again the ownership situations of the clubs weigh on the approval process of the junta (and the route to 2026).
