OVERVIEW
Tribeca (Triangle Below Canal), recentemente ristrutturato, è il quartiere che apparentemente potrebbe ricordare più di tutti gli altri una periferia, e perciò vi si possono trovare le migliori scuole e servizi indirizzati alle famiglie. Al confine con Battery Park City e SoHo, Tribeca copre un’area che va da Vesey Street a Sud fino a Canal Street a Nord, Brodway a Est e West Street a Ovest.
LANDMARKS
Tribeca’s landmark destinations include the Brooklyn Bridge, which is traversed by bike or foot by both tourists and New Yorkers, and the Woolworth Building, one of the first skyscrapers in Manhattan, built by Cass Gilbert back in 1913.
City Hall, located in the middle of City Hall Park and housing both the office of the Mayor of New York City and the chambers of the New York City Council, can also be found in Tribeca.

SHOPPING
Boasting much greenery, Tribeca has become an almost suburban respite from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. This, in turn, has led many families to move to the area. The shops and boutiques that define the neighborhood mostly cater to the families living here. Popular destinations include Nili Lotan, Steven Alan, and Patron of the New.
DINING
The recent revamping of the neighborhood, coupled with the rush to the loft-style apartments that can be found here, have resulted in the opening of a variety of dining destinations, all focusing on different kind of cuisines. Many celebrity chefs, including Marc Forgione and Andrew Carmellini, have opened eateries in Tribeca.
NIGHTLIFE
Not the most popular nightlife destination, Tribeca is defined by its mix of dining offerings over its dearth of bars and watering holes.
TRANSPORTATION
Nearby subway lines include the A, C, E, 2, 3, R, W, 6. Tribeca is also accessible via car, most easily via the West Side Highway.
